A tearful goodbye to the class of 2013…

Well all of the laughter and cheer of the end of term is slightly overcast today for this is the day that we officially say goodbye to our Class of 2013.  Our first graduating year group of Design Realisation students hang up their Guildhall School passes and close their lockers for the last time as they head out into the industry.  For me it’s a very bittersweet occasion.  I say goodbye to the year group that started their studies at the Guildhall School a week after I started working here so of course I feel immensely proud to have been part of their education and yet so sad that they are leaving.  I will miss each and every one of them, and I am sure I speak for the entire of the Design Realisation staff when I say that and when I wish them all the luck in their future careers and invite them to come back soon and see us…the workshops will be short of 5 wonderful and talented people in September but we also get to welcome the next year group into the department as well which is always a lovely experience.

We have high hopes for all of you, congratulations Class of 2013…see you at graduation!
